International Women's Day - Supporting women and children escape domestic abuse

To celebrate International Women's Day this year we pledged to donate 20% of sales taken that whole week. Incredibly our lovely customers came through and we were able to donate a whopping £920 to Refuge to go towards their vital work supporting women and children escape abusive domestic situations.
Refuge is the U.K.'s largest provider of specialist domestic abuse services, they know it can take women up to seven attempts to leave an abuser. Desperately trying to get enough money to survive on your own and coming short is enough to scare women back to an abusive partner. Refuge has been empowering and supporting women to rebuild their lives for the last 50 years. Refuge runs emergency accommodation, community services, and the National Domestic Abuse Helpline.
The money we raised goes towards making sure women have a safe place. It makes sure women get clothes that make them feel like themselves again. It gives toys to children that take their minds off things they should never have seen. It helps women take control of their lives again. It gives women fleeing an abusive partner a refuge space where they can recover and build a new life. It supports survivors to use phones and computers without being found by their abuser.

Absolutely no woman should pay for the cost-of-living crisis with her life so please consider donating to Refuge. Click this link to find out more and make a difference in someone's life.
