'Child's Play'
"I wish to hold up a mirror against myself and the past three years of the brand’s couture journey.
What is the opposite of all the weight and seriousness we carry? Can that universe expand any further? Perhaps confronting that reflection is what it takes to embark on a new journey, to rebuild the truth and purpose in what we do." - Robert Wun
I had the immense honour of returning to collaborate with Robert Wun on his Autumn/Winter 2026 haute couture show, Child's Play, presented at the Dôme de Paris during Paris Haute Couture Week — our sixth show together, and one that took me right back to the beginning.
The collection unfolds as a timeline of growing up, from a child as 'plain paper' to being coloured, shaped and formed, closing in a chapter of customised balloons — beautiful and joyous, yet fragile and not meant to last, just like the childhood we all still carry within us.
For this collection, I created seven full hats, plus the foundational structures for fourteen sculptural, 3D-printed headpieces — twenty one pieces in total, built in close dialogue with the garments. As always, Robert sends me his sketches and I bring them to life using his fabrics and my millinery skills, building the foundational structure for any 3D-printed headpieces.
I'm proud to have been credited for millinery alongside Patti Wilson on styling and Anabela Chan on jewellery. To have a hand in bringing childhood itself to the runway, is something I never take for granted.
