Awon Golding is an award-winning London-based milliner renowned for her vibrant and innovative hats and headpieces, catering to fashion enthusiasts worldwide. With a rich heritage blending her English-Indian roots and Hong Kong upbringing, she draws inspiration from her multicultural background and champions much needed diversity and representation in fashion.

Transitioning from a career in fashion writing and magazine editing in Hong Kong, Awon pursued her passion for millinery in London. She honed her craft through apprenticeships with established milliners, whilst earning a Distinction in Millinery from Kensington and Chelsea College. Her journey led to roles as a hat designer for prominent high-street brands like Topshop and River Island.

Whilst creating collections for her own eponymous label, Awon is also Head Millinery Designer at British heritage brand, Lock & Co, the world's oldest hat shop, where she showcases her creativity and expertise. Her designs have graced prestigious platforms such as Headonism at London Fashion Week, where she featured for two seasons. In 2018, she captivated audiences as the Millinery expert on BBC 2's prime-time show, Handmade in Britain.

Awon's unique creations have garnered international acclaim, adorning the heads of luminaries like Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, Dita Von Teese, Kylie Minogue, and Lady Gaga. Her portfolio includes biannual collections, a luxury bridal range, and bespoke commissions for a diverse clientele.

Passionate about both couture hats and animal welfare, Awon established the Haute Dogs Calendar in 2018. This annual charity project combines her love for hats with her advocacy for dog rescues, raising over £100,000 since its inception.
